WHMIS 2015 is going to be a game changer for everyone. Manufactures are changing their MSDSs to the new SDS style in order to sell their products around the world. The Canadian suppliers are developing the new labels for the products they sell to customers. Employers are about to get hit with the job of training their employees about the new WHMIS 2015 program.
As a Canadian employer how are you doing in the preparation and delivery of the new program?
As an employee, are you trained and comfortable with your skills in WHMIS? If you have taken WHMIS training many times before, then you get the point. You have a "right to know" about the dangerous products at your worksite. You should know how to handle them and what to do if you spill them or they catch fire or you get them on your skin or if....
It's a long list of what "if's" and every hazardous product will have it's own unique answer. How do you remember all that information? That's what your last WHMIS course was intended to do for you. Train you!
"Training and educating people young and old isn't a challenge...it's my passion. I really love seeing the fear and confusion leave their eyes as they understand the information and acquire new skills."
Remember
" Everyone can learn...it may simply take a little more effort on the instructor's behalf."
